Goal: creation of a modernized version of a popular game, named Same Game, for Android platform

Solution: Same Game is a classic puzzle-game. The goal of the game is to remove as many objects from the playing field as possible for the fewest number of steps. By selecting one of the groups of adjoining objects of the same color, a player removes them from the screen. A single object cannot be selected and accordingly cannot be removed. The empty space is filled with dropping objects. For each removed group a player is credited with points, depending on the group’s size. There are three complexity levels that differ in the number of group colors presented in a game.

One of the game’s original features is an option to upload players’ scores to the server (Social Game Network Geocade) and compare one’s own results with those of other players (http://iphone11.geocade.com/scores/feed/10012).
Same Game is a piloting open source project of SoftTeco for Android Platform with the purpose to highlight Android game development capabilities of SoftTeco company. Upon completion the game was published to Android Market and enjoyed significant popularity: within the first three months it was downloaded by more than 10000 users.
