Objective-C Coding Rules

Developing in a programming language, at some point one comes to the conclusion that there must be a set of certain coding rules that he and his team should follow.

In case of Objective-C, one can have a look at official Apple’s Cocoa Coding Guidelines. It’s a very good, and widely accepted, coding guide for Objective-C.

Plus, yesterday I came across a very useful Objective-C Style Guide by Google:

http://google-styleguide.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/objcguide.xml

It follows the general Apple’s Cocoa Coding Guidelines and supplements it with really handy rules on spacing and formatting, naming, source code comments, etc.

I wish I had learned about it before! 🙂
